But feels as though I'm writing an essay or something (it feels like I'm using Microsoft words).
Think I sorta lose my mo-jo in blogging, sigh(!)
Note to self: Gotta pump up some kicks to blog more!
Anyway, this post is dedicated to belated-Diwali 2011 & how we celebrated it.
Fortunately, we have a few Kuching Indian coursemates; so yay(!) we went for open houses!
We even ganged up for the open house visit. *explode!*
Teehee, we are this bad.
Upon entering, we saw this awesome mat-thingy (sorry! I have no idea what this is called)
It was so beautifully done!
Pretty awesome how 2 packets of dry coconut shreds & some colour dyes can do for you.
Note to self: awesome way to do something colourful like that
A close-up shot. It definitely do not look like coconut shreds, right?
But wait, that's not it...we were treated for better, proper Indian cuisines! Not just muruku & snacks!
(top) Roti canai & Chapati.
(below) Curry the Indian styled in both chicken and kambing. & most importantly, Nasi Briyani! :O
Proof that it's not wise to bombard/geng up for open house visit for the owner.
Everything is sapu clean-clean (finished). Aha!
Kudos to us! (we were trying to do the Bollywood dance but epic fail?)
It was such a nice trip & no doubt, my first few countable Indian open house visits!
After the visit, we went to Logos Hope - 1st time in Kuching!
But let's leave that for the next post, aite?
