#3.8 Such luck!

So just last Sunday, we went food hunting.
Was supposed to find this place called Lam's place, found it but it was closed. :<
What to do? We went to a random cafe a few blocks away & had breakfast.
Yes, we were hungry, rwar! >.<
 So Jolibee it is.
At first, I read & assumed it was Jubilee, y'know.
Until Jon corrected me. >.<
At first, was tempted to try the congee beside but it's still not ready for business.
So both of us end up ordering from the small stall above.
 Limau-peng!
 Teh-O-peng!
 Seafood mee!
Kolo mee!

The mee here is highly recommended, it has that awesome homey taste & makes me home-sick. :<
Awesome tangy taste for the mee itself, some referred as QQ-ness of the mee, just awesome!

#3.7 5 layered milk tea?

So, we went to another Siang-siang corner for lunch, this time it's at Stutong area.
Here is a map for referral.

View Siang-siang corner in a larger map

Anyway, it was packed, like usual.
Nonetheless, we still managed to secure a seat, thank goodness!
5 layer milk tea + cincau for rm2.50. :O
Verdict: It tasted super kau (condensed)! Quite nice if you prefer sweet stuffs.

Lime peng (iced) for rm1.80!
Verdict: Hmmm... <3

Pork leg rice for rm4.50.
Verdict: Super juicy & enough meaty! Gotta love the thick marinate sauce & the soup!

Hakka Tauhu Zap (mixed Hakka tauhu soup) for rm4.50.
Verdict: Have to ask the taukeh to put special ingredients or else, no ocra nor bittergourd. :< But overall it tastes different, in a nice way.

T'was a nice lunch, trying out more new food outlets for us!

<3 food.

Just below Tunes!

Just last week, I am down Bintulu. How time flies?
It was a short 3D2N trip so we bunked at Tunes, Bintulu.
& there are cafes/restaurants all around Tunes.
We had no worries of where to fill up our tummy, at all. (:

For example;
Just below Tunes, you have Ipoh Towh Kopitiam!
So called all-new-MEGA-MENU.
Or is it that I haven't paid IPK a visit for quite a while?
The menu pages are rugged, must be from all the customers' constant flipping due to hesitation of what to order, right?
We are that bunch too, having no idea what to eat at all.
& so we flipflipflip.
Specialty toast - Tuna Sandwich RM4.50
This is good, for a starter. They blended some spicy chili sauce in to the tuna paste, now you wouldn't had guess that eh!
That is how it "opens" appetites. Crunchy toast + creamy paste = heavenly.

When we are half way through with the sandwiches, the drinks baru sampai!
Needless for me to comment on their services, y'know.
Chocolate blended with ice cream RM5.90
An icy treat for oneself during a scourging hot day.
& i thought they would prepare it in some posh-high-cups and a spoon! Sigh.
Honey lemon juice (cold) RM3.20
A drink that helps to wash some unwanted fats in the body somewhere! (self-comforting)
Mushroom Chicken Rice Bowl with Egg. RM6.30
Gotta love the aromatic chicken pieces with that piece of egg-cellent egg! Tempting!
Black-pepper Chicken Rice Bowl with Egg. RM6.30
Luckily this is not too spicy for my taste bud. It's mild.
Again, with a sexy egg. (:
Ginger Chicken Rice Bowl with Egg. RM6.30
You can see, obviously, they were kiam on the ginger slices.
But fear not, the taste of the sauce is dense with ginger.
Ipoh Town Nasi Rendang Chicken Rice RM7.00
*salute* this dish is too spicy for me. But it's good. Really!
You ought to try it out whenever you visit 'em, their nasi lemak series is good. ;)

As side treat, visit SunnyBoy for his post on holiday boredom! ;)
He sure is on his way of sharpening his photography skills!

Off to holiday treats until mid-September!

Pizza?

Again, today me & my cousin decided to drop by a newly opened Pizza Hut outlet at The Spring.
It's easy to spot, right beside KFC and opposite Ta Kiong. Very strategic.
So, we walked into an over-crowded Pizza Hut, got ourselves good spaces & order.
Friendly Dine-In menu. Filled with pictures for easy referencing. (:
Look at the ever popular front cover, the happy family dining together.
We likey.
& the star of the day, The Star Crust of the Year. Cheesy Pops. (:
Since there are only 2 of us, we opted for the RM31.90 set.
Adding the 10% service charge + 6% government tax, it's RM37.00.
Pls, be wowed.
Noted the quiz paper behind? We actually did try that while waiting for our star-pizza to step in.
A lot of advertisement work on the new Cheesy Pop Crust.
Awesome photos! Deliciously good cheese!
& guess what? Pizza Hut changed all their drinks to Mountain Dew.
Energizing drink, just the one you need for all your shoppings afterwards. ;)
& no offence, this is how i finish off my Garlic Bread + Mushroom Soup.
It is always so-my-gosh-awesome.
Here comes the star.. (:
Yours to judge.
That ends our simple lunch/dinner date, heh.
After that, we went around the spring & fancy what we found?
You see it, Miss Universe Malaysia 2011, Deborah Henry. *cough*I looked very short beside.*cough*
But it was an honour, a picture shooting session with her.
It isn't someone you see everyday or something you can do everyday.
Lucky me.
Actually, she is here in The Spring, Kuching for Miss Universe Malaysia 2012. Click here for more info.

Oh, & Happy Earth Hour, people!

Delizze Delicious

We visited Delizze for the first time, and not the last time, when it rains.
We had heard enough of its awesome rumours, even from 4square! ;)
(should had prt sc for you all to see)
So off we went, to this so-called dessert palace.
It's easy to spot, just around Premiere 101. With a huge signboard.
This is what we managed to capture, a nice blurry picture of Delizze sign.
From the car, when it rained.
& boy, it rained cats and dogs.
Lucky for us, we found a nice parking just right in front of it, see the sign?
We literally ran in to the shop. ;)
What not to be missed out on a rainy cold evening/night --- hot chocolate!
This here is one L-sized one.
Awesome just for someone like me. (:
& if you are not a chocolate-person, here is another option for you --- Freshly brewed green tea.
Actually, they served Boh Green Tea, notice the label on the 1st tea picture? ;)
But it is good enough, it is hot enough for a cold day.
Complimentary lukewarm water, for you to clear off your taste buds.
Before you start digging into your food like there ain't no tomorrow. ;)
Carbonara Spaghetti. (:
Cheesy enough, creamy enough, awesome enough!
Just perfect for my taste buds.
Traditional Chicken Chop.
XXL-sized. Too big a portion.
But it does taste different, well, it is marinated in herbs, the traditional way.
So, it tasted somewhat like a blend of herbs & sauces, in a good way.

That was one of our huge meals, in a while. (: RG

As yummy as A-B-C

Off we went to riverside area, & suddenly remembered that my cousin once said there is one stall of yummy ABC on the roadside.
& boy, are we lucky to be at riverside area on a great, hot afternoon.
So, what's better than having a bowl of ABC on a hot day??
The man behind the icy goodness. (;
All thanks to him, we have icy yummy A-B-C.
Salutes(!) to the old traditional way to making icy tops for the ABC.
For those of you who are still finding that same old taste of ABC, do come here!
Seriously, he washes his hands everytime before he forces the ice through that blade. ;)
So no worries, it's hygienic & clean enough for consumption.
However, my bad cause i only got one picture of how the bowl of ABC is. ):
But cheers, you can see all sorts of yummy ingredients in it, right?
& cheers again, this small bowl only costs merely RM1.50. ;)

Why i only got 1 picture of the awesome ABC?
Well, this is why. Guilty as charged.
This kitty is cute! (:

My Restaurant

Ta-da! We now have a new URL address & a new blog layout.
Well, nothing much still as work is still in progress.
Here it is. (:
We named ourselves and sometimes our gadgets as Sunny Boy & Rainy Girl after a very funny incident; but, maybe we will come to that later?
Shall we continue on our food adventures?

[non-halal post]

So, some time ago, we went to an awesome pork chop restaurant, called "My Restaurant".
Just adore the name of the restaurant, making everything seems so fond & mine. ;)
Simple, not-very-fancy menu.
But, don't judge a book by its cover, right?
Equipped with all sorts of variety of food.
Pwned with awesomeness!
Fresh Orange Juice & Refreshing Watermelon Juice.
Snail-shaped garlic bread. Which reminds us of what Pizzahut has.
Super-awesome fresh mushroom soup!
Just the smell is great enough to fill up our tummy. Not.
We beg for more delicious food.
This, ladies & gentlemen, is our way to eating garlic bread + mushroom soup.
Just letting the bread settle in the soup for a few sec, absorbing all its fragrance & richness.
Then simply drop it into your mouth & let your tongue do all the work.
& you will know how amazing it is. (please do this while the soup is semi-hot, but take extra care not to burn your tongue.)
Before the main dish, we opted for some light salad.
Have to learn to go all green & healthy nowadays. It's for the best.

But once we are done with that, we proceed with our main dishes. Feeding hungry peoples here! ;)
I tried the Bacon-cheese baked lasagna.
Do not, i repeat, do not be deceived by its look.
Cut into halves & you will see sauces oozing out like no tomorrow.
& this is legendary, uniquely one of a kind.
Who would thought of laying a few pieces of bacon on top of a lasagna filled with gourmet tomato sauce? & on top of that, it tasted like heaven?

My bad, for missing out on Sunny Boy's meal. ;O
This is our table, filled with good food.
Life is good with food. (:
