We went to Starbucks @ precinct 88 to start off our day. & to get that limited edition card. <3
Psst, they offer student discounts (20% off) there too, so why not?
 Club sandwich.
Huge-sized sandwich with ham & egg & tomato.
Abslutely healty & a great way to start off our day too!
This is Jon's favourite!
 Tuna sandwich.
This is one yummy dish too!
Soft bread with hard side crunch, paired up with tuna+cheese+cucumber.
 & our drinks, of course!
Hot signature chocolate + hot hazelnut chocolate.
Power up +1 for our long day ahead!
& while we were there, we got ourselves this fancyyy Starbucks's Xmas edition card.
Can't wait to get that '12 planner!

#3.10 Uncovered treasures?

Walking around the old town can be joyful as it is filled with pleasant surprises. <3
Discovered this cafe just opposite cineplax.
& boy, does it hold some goodie-yummy-treasures!
Teh-C-Peng.
Lemon panas (hot).
Char kueh for RM4.
Boy, this is one treasure for sure!
It tasted goooooooooood that words can't describe it, aha.
Stir-fried Kueh Tiaw special (+chicken+clam) for only RM4. <3
It tasted awesome but the boyf complained for too many taugeh(beansprout), heh.
The owner that wraps up the yummy charkuehtiaw. <3
& the ingredients used to cook the charkueh.

If you have a chance, go ahead & try it there! It's good, trust us!

#3.9 Some toast, anyone?

Just somewhere at Brighton Square, Jalan Song, we found a great place for breakfast. C:
Halt, it not only serves toast bread, like how its name suggested.
It actually also had promotion lunch set & ala carte too!

 Our drinks.
L - Asam Boi plum juice
R - Lemon peng (yes, I am aware that I have a thing with lemon pengs :p)
Strawberry jam toast.
This was supposed to be Apple jam toast, but they messed up with our order.
But nonetheless, this was superbly awesome!
The toast is slightly bitter, tagged up with the sweetness of strawberry sauce & some tangy mango; all topped with a strawberry. Awesomeness +1!
Wholewheat tuna sandwich.
It's filling, yes, by the look itself is filling 'nuf eh?
The wholewheat bun is fresh *thumbsup* but the garnishing vege is not as fresh.
Not to miss out, french fries! +1
Their french fries were the best! They had a distinct but awesome taste.
& man, they have that QQ-ness a fries must have. (aha, I make no sense, ops)

Last served was the blackpepper sausage bun, paired up with fries.
The bun is as fresh, +1, & the sausage was the bomb!
Enough juiciness, enough taste, it's good.
I can't even finish the half of it. >.<

This place is highly recommended for breakfast. It's good, but please choose a place indoors instead of outdoors behind. Outdoor = lotsa house/fruit flies swarming around. It's creepyo! >.<

#3.8 Such luck!

So just last Sunday, we went food hunting.
Was supposed to find this place called Lam's place, found it but it was closed. :<
What to do? We went to a random cafe a few blocks away & had breakfast.
Yes, we were hungry, rwar! >.<
 So Jolibee it is.
At first, I read & assumed it was Jubilee, y'know.
Until Jon corrected me. >.<
At first, was tempted to try the congee beside but it's still not ready for business.
So both of us end up ordering from the small stall above.
 Limau-peng!
 Teh-O-peng!
 Seafood mee!
Kolo mee!

The mee here is highly recommended, it has that awesome homey taste & makes me home-sick. :<
Awesome tangy taste for the mee itself, some referred as QQ-ness of the mee, just awesome!

#3.7 5 layered milk tea?

So, we went to another Siang-siang corner for lunch, this time it's at Stutong area.
Here is a map for referral.

View Siang-siang corner in a larger map

Anyway, it was packed, like usual.
Nonetheless, we still managed to secure a seat, thank goodness!
5 layer milk tea + cincau for rm2.50. :O
Verdict: It tasted super kau (condensed)! Quite nice if you prefer sweet stuffs.

Lime peng (iced) for rm1.80!
Verdict: Hmmm... <3

Pork leg rice for rm4.50.
Verdict: Super juicy & enough meaty! Gotta love the thick marinate sauce & the soup!

Hakka Tauhu Zap (mixed Hakka tauhu soup) for rm4.50.
Verdict: Have to ask the taukeh to put special ingredients or else, no ocra nor bittergourd. :< But overall it tastes different, in a nice way.

T'was a nice lunch, trying out more new food outlets for us!

<3 food.

McD? Library?

In conjunction to 11/11/2011, this post is scheduled to post at 11:11am for the effect. <3
Can't be blamed for wanting some a lot of 1111111111s.

So the other day, we tapaoed (take away) some McD.
Just 'coz we feel like chilling at the campus library.
 McD in student lounge. >.<

Oya! We tried the not-so-new all white tender bite classic chicken McDeluxe!

& don't miss out the one and only Big Mac!
All-time-favourite neh~

We were greeted with so many packets of chili sauce and none, none(!) tomato sauce. :<
Blame me for not noticing at the counter, ah.

Verdict: Pretty nice for a change. It felt as though eating a drumstick in a burger. <3

Verdict: Awesome as ever! <3 <3 <3

Oya! Saw a pretty wooden chicken at the burger box! <3
How more creative can McD be?

I'm loving it. <3

Logos Hope!

So, continuing from where we dropped that last post..

Oh yeah, we went to Logos Hope!
& it was a pretty huge ship! :O
There we are, posing in front of the ship. Ohai!

Pretty pretty huge ship beside Logos Hope.
Look at its sides, seems so straightly cut. >.<

L.O.G.O.S H.O.P.E <3

 Welcome to Logos Hope.
Spreading knowledge, help & hope worldwide.

Funny how cute the Generators are illustrated.
Poor Generator 2 & 3. :<

Next up is the floating book fair.
That main event which attracted many, many, many people.
(sorry for the blurry pictures, was sandwiched by peoples!)
& the pictures are just pure evidence of huge-normous amount of people!

See?
It's even hard to move around the book fair! :<
We actually slided around near the book shelves to avoid being bumped and knocked into.

 Ohai! We are on water!

Later after purchasing & donating, we made our way into the international cafe.
Yes, there is always something there to fill the tummy of those poor-book-buyers, like us!
We bought some popcorn, ice creams & coke! Yums!

After that, we made our ways out.
Oh ya, there was this live talk on AIDS. But, the time slot wasn't till an hour later so boo-hoo.
Anyway, spotted this interesting poster on the way out.
 How awesome could this be?
Crewmembers of Logos Hope from different countries!
Regardless of race, nationality, skin tone, or whatever, they are able to work together, kudos to them! <3

& also, a world map on where Logos Hope had toured. (the little mini maps, yeah those)
How I wish one day I could also volunteer in being a part of Logos Hope, as a representative from Malaysia.
One gotta dream big. (:

#3.4 Number 6.

Noticed the #3 in front of the recent posts? Those are just for me to document the food posts. :D
So no worries on that, since I'll more frequently blog from the smarty phone, awesome kudos to technology!

Verdict:
Mee kolok tasted ok-ok, enough taste enough QQ-ness, but extra points for the clean arrangement.
Wantan soup was special, they even throw in some of their famous hand-made meat balls.
Laksa, however, was not so good. The soup was slightly too dilute. The amount of taugeh (beansprout) was not enough. I thought eating laksa also includes the joy of crunching those juicy taugehs? D:

Price:
Laksa RM4.00
Mee kolok + wantan soup RM5.00

Oh well, the speciality there was curry rice afterall, so here's the pics~
